A bonfire fire pit is a large open bowl built for a full log fire rather than a contained flame, used as a gathering point in a garden or campsite. Bowl diameter, steel thickness, high-temperature coating and whether it ships flat-packed are the decisions. Build and materials
Adjustable hanging height is the defining feature: it lets the cook control heat by raising or lowering the grid over the fire rather than by moving coals, which is how traditional tripod grilling works and why it produces even results on an open fire.
Three legs with skid-resistant feet are far more stable on grass, gravel and uneven paving than a four-point base, which tends to rock and concentrate load on one leg.
The 45 cm grid matches the bowl almost exactly, so the whole fire area is usable rather than the centre only.
304 stainless grid is specified for food contact and corrosion resistance; the chromed wire option is the lower-cost alternative for promotional price points.

Samples ship in 3–15 days depending on tooling, and production runs 35–50 days after sample approval and deposit. Packaging, barcodes, country-of-origin labelling and destination-language manuals are prepared as part of the order.

How does the adjustable grill height work?
The grid hangs from the tripod and is raised or lowered to control how much heat reaches the food. This is the traditional Dutch-oven style of grilling and it is more responsive than moving coals around.
What is the cooking area?
A 45 cm diameter grid over a 46 cm bowl, giving a cooking surface that covers most of the fire area rather than just the centre.
Is the grid stainless or chromed?
Both are available. 304 stainless is specified for food contact and corrosion resistance; chromed wire is the lower-cost option for promotional price points and typically lasts two to three seasons.
Can it be used purely as a fire pit?
Yes. The grid lifts off and the bowl works as a conventional wood-burning fire pit, which is why this format sells into both the cooking and the garden-heating channels.
